Welcome to Columbia University Sleep Disorders Center

The Columbia Sleep Disorders Center, Neurology Division, is staffed by neurologists experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of all sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movements, insomnia, and narcolepsy. We have a special emphasis on neurology and psychiatry patients with sleep disorders. Sleep disorders are particularly prominent in patients with neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, and stroke and testing may be indicated with any persistent, unexplained sleep disturbance. We can provide consultation as well as overnight polysomnography and multiple sleep latency testing on these patients, and accept most insurance. In addition, we have the capacity to perform simultaneous video-EEG monitoring when indicated, such as when patients have known or suspected epilepsy. Waiting times are typically less than two weeks, and weekend polysomnography testing is available.
